The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates grabbed two more wins Monday afternoon on the road against Central Methodist Univ-ersity. The Lady Pirates used a dominating pitching performance from Kallie Walczak in game one to take a 7-0 win,and followed it up with an 8-3 win to complete the sweep.

Walczak was nearly flawless in game one, allowing no runs on just one hit. Walczak also fanned 10 CMU batters in the contest.
“Kallie threw really well,” Head Coach Max Mothersbaugh said. “Just dominant pitching.”
Kelsie Parker had a big game at the plate, going two-for-four with three RBI’s and two runs scored.
NCMC completed the sweep in game two with a five-run victory. Lauren Cain started the contest on the hill for the Lady Pirates and got the win, pitching three innings and striking out three batters. Erica Carr came on in relief and picked up the save.
At the plate, Raschel Hoeflicker and Tristan Ash each went three-for-four with a run scored. Two of Ash’s hits went for doubles. Walczak also had a solid game at the plate, going two-for-four with a run scored and two RBI’s.
“We hit the ball harder in game two, but we didn’t play as well defensively,” Mothersbaugh said. “We hadn’t been able to take infield for about a week so we weren’t very sharp defensively. We made good plays when we had to though and came away with the win.”
The Lady Pirates advanced to 10 games over .500 with the win, moving their season record to 24-14.
NCMC will return to action today. The Lady Pirates will travel to Sedalia to face off with Three Rivers Community College. The first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
