The Green Hills Community Action Agency is offering its services to assist the elderly and disabled in filing the Missouri Property Tax Credit again this year.
This website brought to you in part by the following sponsor:

The Missouri Property Tax Credit gives certain senior citizens and disabled individuals an opportunity to receive back a portion of the real estate taxes or rent they have paid for the past year. The maximum refund amount is $750 and can only be claimed on the home they lived in during the year being claimed. The actual credit is based on the amount of real estate taxes or rent paid and total household income.
Elderly or disabled community members who would like to file for the MOPTC should bring their current paid tax receipts (both county and city) or their rent receipts for the past year as well as documentation of all income such as Social Security 1099s and yearly pension statements. For those who have not filed for the MOPTC before this year, it is possible to file for the prior three years and all information from those years will be necessary to file.
For more information or for dates of when the assistance begins, persons can contact their local GHCAA county office or the main office in Trenton at 660-359-3907.
