Leonard Allen McClaskey, a 77-year-old resident of Searcy, AR, died on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007 at Searcy.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 at the Higginson Assembly of God Church, under the direction of the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Mr. McClaskey was born on May 4, 1929, the son of Edgar Allen and Deva Mae Cooksey McClaskey.
He was a member of the New Morrow Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Geneva Pogue McClaskey; two brothers, Arrid McClaskey of Unionville and Vernon McClaskey of Trenton; one sister, Arlene Humphreys of Trenton; a son, Larry McClaskey; five step-children, Gracie Coonkand Merlin of Pleasant Hill, Walter “Red” Marlin of Trenton, Brenda Dunbar and Ricky of Stuttgart, AR, Monica Kidd of Searcy and Patrick Allen of Searcy; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Amber L. Allen; and one grandson, Wayne B. Cook.
