Charles Pasak, an 80-year-old resident of Trenton, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Liberty Hospital. The body was cremated.

Charles Pasak, an 80-year-old resident of Trenton, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Liberty Hospital. The body was cremated.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2003 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Tom Adams will officiate. Burial will be in the Grundy Center Cemetery, located east of Trenton.
Mr. Pasak was born April 24, 1922, the son of John Joseph and Tereza Marie Haulatko Pasak, in Cleveland, OH. He was raised in a Catholic home with nine brothers and sisters. On Sept. 25, 1940, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. While stationed at Roswell, NM he was united in marriage to Lois Jean Ralston. Mr. Pasak spent more than 20 years in military service in both the Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force and served in World War II and the Korean War. He received a commendation from President Harry S Truman for his service during World War II. For the past two years, Mr. Pasak had lived at the Missouri Veterans Home at Cameron.
Mr. Pasak is survived by his wife, Lois, of the home; a son, Carle Lyn Pasak and his wife, Crystal, of Derby, KS; a daughter, Carol Lynette Hunton and her husband, Leon, of Hazelwood; three grandchildren, Charles Pasak, David Hunton and Nathan Hunton; and one sister, Sylvia Soucek of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Joseph, John ?JJ,? Frank ?Bones? and James; and four sisters, Ann Ehrenfelt, Thersa Kristoff, Mae Rumora and Emma Sprietzer.
Memorials may be left to the Green Hills Animal Shelter or the Missouri Veterans Home at Cameron.
