Conference Titles Highlighted 2016

The year 2016 will be remembered for a lot of things. In Trenton, however, it will be remembered as the year the Bulldogs stormed into the Grand River Conference.
In the school’s first official year in a conference since 1990, the Bulldogs laid claim to the Grand River title in both softball and football. The softball team ran a 7-0 record within the conference’s East Division before topping West Division

Munday Ninth At State

Grundy R-5 shot putter Matana Munday placed ninth in the shot put on Friday at the MSHSAA Class 1 Track and Field Championships in Jefferson City.
Munday threw the shot 34-08.75 to earn the ninth-place finish.

Trenton Advances Three Individuals, One Relay To State

The Trenton High School track and field teams were in Richmond on Saturday for the Class 3, Sectional 4 Track Meet. Trenton was able to send six athletes in three events to state from the sectional meet, all on the girls’ side.

Trenton Sends 16 Athletes In 11 Events On To Sectionals

Trenton Teams In The Middle Of The Pack At Benton Relays

The Trenton High School track and field teams went to their district lineup on Tuesday at the Benton Cardinal Relays in St. Joseph, which hurt them a bit in the team standings. Grundy Moves On In Three Events

The Grundy R-5 High School track and field team advanced to sectional in three events, two girls and one boys, on Saturday at the Class 1, District 7 Track Meet at South Harrison High School in Bethany.

Trenton Girls Runner-Up, Boys Fifth At Irish Relays In St. Joseph

The Trenton High School track and field teams were on the road in St. Joseph on Thursday, competing at the Irish Relays at Lafayette High School. The Trenton girls finished runner-up at the meet, collecting 95 points, second only to Chillicothe’s 159.5 in the team standings. The Trenton boys meanwhile, were fifth in the 11-team field, scoring 83.5 team points.

TMS Girls Close Season With Win, Boys 4th

The Trenton Middle School track and field teams closed out the season on Wednesday in Kirksville. Nine schools made up the field, which the Lady Bulldogs topped, placing first in the team standings with 111 points to best Hannibal, Kirksville, Marceline, Putnam County and four others. Trenton’s boys, meanwhile, placed fourth in the boys standings.
