Golfers Improve In Home Loss To Brookfield

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs high school golf team shaved 15 strokes off their team total from the previous day, but the end result was still the same, a loss to a Linn County School.

Surber Hits Hole In One

John Surber aced the seventh hole at the Riverside Country Club in Trenton Sunday. Surber hit the hole in one from the back tee, a distance of 176 yards. He did so with a 20-degree hybrid club.
Witnesses to the hole in one included Larry Bunnell, Rob Deaver, Gary Ferguson, Mike Figg, Bill Fries, Curt Thorne and Dave Wright.

RCC Men’s League Week 15

The Riverside Country Club Men’s Golf League was back in action on Wednesday night, competing in the 15th week of action.
Derek Thorne had the low score on the night, carding a 33. Rob Deaver, Travis Mullenix, Scott Wilson and Ryan Suttenfield all came in with scores of 37. John Kennebeck had the best net score, finishing with a 29 after handicaps were figured. Suttenfield had a 30 and Deaver

QB Club Golf Tournament

The Trenton Quarterback Club is hosting a golf tournament on Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Riverside Country Club in Trenton. The tournament, dubbed the “Quarterback Scramble,” will be a four-person scramble event and begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
Entry fees for the tournament are $50 per person, $200 for a team and co-ed teams are welcome. The entry fee includes 18 holes, a registration gift, BBQ lunch

THS Girls Golf Practice To Begin

Trenton High School girls’ golf practice will begin on Monday, Aug. 4 at the Riverside Country Club in Trenton. The first practice will begin at 9 a.m.
Any girl entering grades 9 to 12 at Trenton High School is eligible to play. Students will need to bring their own clubs and must have a completed physical form with them or on file at the high school office to participate.
