2013-2014 Grundy R-5 Awards

Grundy R-5 High School held its 2013-2014 awards assembly on Thursday, May 22 at the school.
Randy Huffman, high school principal, presented Perfect Attendance Awards and a Royals baseball ticket to Mason Larson, Mckenna Owens and Emily Torrey.

Princeton, Newtown-Harris Boards Meet

Personnel and program reviews were among items addressed by the Princeton and Newtown-Harris boards of education on Monday night.

Laredo Board Meets

The Laredo R-7 Board of Education met in special session on Monday night, approving a bid and discussing salaries.
According to information provided by board secretary Mona Loyd, approval was given to a bid from Duane Campbell for construction work to be done this summer as well as from Wired Electrical and Automation for electrical work. The board reviewed salary proposals but took no action.

Fundraiser Planned

The Grand River Technical School FCCLA chapter is hosting an open house fundraiser on Thursday, May 15 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the home of advisor Pam Miller in Chillicothe.
Several vendors will be at the open house, offering items for sale. Chapter members and their advisor will also have refreshments as well. The fundraiser helps pay student dues for next year as well as provides opportunities for students

Princeton Chamber Meets

The Princeton Chamber of Commerce met on March 19 with nine members and one guest present.
Donna Herdrich presided at the meeting, during which time final plans were made for the soup and dessert cookoff. The event was held on March 20.

Integrated Pest Management Workshop Planned

University of Missouri Extension will be holding an Integrated Pest Management workshop and update at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the North Missouri Produce Auction in Jamesport.
