NCMC Trustees Hear About MoManufacturingWINS Programs

Trustees at North Central Missouri College learned about three programs being offered through the MoManufacturingWINS Grant during a meeting held Tuesday evening on the campus.
Jason Helton, who oversees the program at NCMC, presented information on the manufacturing skills certificate and industrial maintenance skills certificate programs, as well as a welding certificate program. Dairy, Rabbit, Poultry Judging At NCM Fair

Dairy, poultry and rabbits were judged during the North Central Missouri Fair on Thursday.

Numbers in the dairy show were down from last year, but a nice assortment of cattle was judged by local dairyman Alex Peterson.
Derrek Hardy of Browning had both the supreme and reserve champion cow. His sister, Tawnya, was named the senior showman while Amy McLaughlin of Unionville earned junior showmanship honors.

2013 NCM Fair Gets Under Way

The North Central Missouri Fair kicked off on Tuesday with a dog show, a parade, coronation of a fair queen and evening entertainment featuring local talent.

4-H Members Show Off At Achievement Day

Grundy County 4-H members showed off their past year’s projects during Achievement Day activities held on Monday at the Rock Barn.
Several of the entries qualified for state fair and Interstate competition later in the year. In addition, a Best of Show was recognized in each judging category.

Flower Show Entries

The Grand River Garden Club will be sponsoring the North Central Missouri Fair Flower Show on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the Rock Barn.
Persons can enter items in the categories of roses, hanging baskets, potted plants, houseplants, arrangements, herbs and individual cut specimens, both annuals and perennials. There will be both a junior and senior division.
