One Arrested For Checks, One For Violation

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Princeton man who is charged with several counts of passing bad checks, with a Princeton woman accused of violating the terms of her probation.
According to the sheriff’s office, 44-year-old Marvin L. Archer is facing three felony counts of passing bad checks and three misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks. The felony counts, with the checks written to Amoco on a non-existent

Laredo Man Is Arrested

A Laredo man has been arrested for failing to appear in court or pay on two charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph M. Sethman, 18, is being held on bonds totaling $700 cash-only after failing to appear or pay on charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 25.

Trenton Women Post Cash Bond

Two Trenton woman have been released from custody after being arrested for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Ashley N. Yardley, 21, was arrested for failing to appear in court on a charge of not wearing a seat belt. She has posted $50 cash bond.

Suspicious Fires Reported

Two abandoned houses were destroyed by fire on Saturday, with the cause of the blazes called suspicious in nature.
According to Grundy County Sheriff Rodney Herring, no one had lived in either house and neither one had power running to it. A Princeton woman has been released on her own recognizance after being arrested for writing a bad check to a Trenton business.

Man Held On Cash Bond After Violating Probation

A Trenton man is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond after being arrested for violating the terms of his probation.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Justin Kleihauer, 19, had been on probation for an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. He is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 13.

Woman Charged With Possessing Meth

A Trenton woman has been arrested for possessing a controlled substance on Friday.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Lois E. Crouse was arrested on the class C felony, accused of possessing methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance. She was listed as a prior offender.
Ms. Crouse is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 12.
