Princeton Woman Charged In Check Case

A Princeton woman is being held on charges of passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Amy Cook, 37, is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested on three counts of passing bad checks, all class A misdemeanors. She is accused of writing the following checks in 2014, knowing they would not be paid: on Aug. 11 to Hy-Vee for $94.87; on Aug.

Two Arrested For Probation Violations, One For Passing Bad Checks

Three persons have been arrested, two for violating the terms of their probation and one for passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Christina L. Baker, 34, Trenton, was arrested for passing bad checks, accused of writing a $33.19 check to Amoco on Oct. 11, 2014, knowing it would not be paid. She has posted $400 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 10.

Man Threatens With Shotgun, Others Arrested As Well

A Laredo man is facing felony charges after threatening a household member with a shotgun.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Robert J. Shoemaker, 52, is being held on $40,000 cash-only bond and is charged with domestic assault, a class B felony; endangering the welfare of a child, a class C felony; and unlawful use of weapon, a class B felony. Man Held For Driving While Revoked/Suspended

A Trenton man has posted $5,000 bond after being arrested for driving while revoked/suspended.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 43-year-old Matt Gaunt was arrested on the charge, a class D felony, and is accused of operating a motor vehicle in Grundy County on Feb. 23 while his license was revoked or suspended. He has four previous convictions for driving while suspended/revoked. Gaunt was scheduled to appear in court

Two Men Arrested, Held In Jail

Two men have been arrested, one charged with driving while intoxicated and one accused of violating the terms of his probation.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Mark E. Lundy, Jr., 30, Trenton, is charged with driving while intoxicated: persistent offender. He is accused of operating a motor vehicle on Feb. 7 on Highway 6 while he was in an intoxicated condition. He has two previous convictions for DWI.

Cainsville Man Arrested After Failing To Appear

A Cainsville man was arrested in Jackson County after failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, David Phillips, 56, failed to appear in court on an original charge of passing bad checks and is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $1,500 cash-only bond. He is scheduled to be in court March 12.

A Trenton resident is being held on cash bond, charged with a felony after committing the same offense numerous times.

Three Are Arrested, Facing Charges

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has released information on the arrest of three persons, including a Gilman City woman charged with passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Michelle Johnson of Gilman City has been charged with two misdemeanor charges of passing bad checks and is being held on $1,100 cash-only bond. She is accused of writing a check on July 17, 2014 to Amoco for $56.30
