Woman Held For Violating Protection Order

A Trenton woman is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested for violating a protection order.

Laredo Man Charged With Assault

A Laredo man has posted bond after being arrested for domestic assault.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Nevin L. Smith, 37, has posted $3,500 cash or corporate surety bond after being arrested Monday. He is accused of having physical contact with a female household member. Smith is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 8.

Two Arrested, Held On Cash Bond

Two men have been arrested and are being held on cash bond, one charged with possession of a controlled substance and one who violated the terms of his probation.

Man Charged In Disturbance, Woman Fails To Appear

A Laredo man has been charged in connection with a disturbance, while bond has been set for a woman who failed to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s office, 36-year-old Jonathan K. Hanson has been charged with peace disturbance, a class B misdemeanor, in connection with an incident on Aug. 23 in which he allegedly caused alarm to Danny and Carol Holloway. He has posted $1,500 cash

Two Charged With Assault In Weekend Incidents

Three persons were arrested over the weekend, including two men charged with assault and one returned from Texas to face a charge of passing bad checks.

Parolee Sent Back To Prison

A Trenton man who had been released from prison on parole has been returned to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Harding, 29, had been released on parole but has violated the terms of that release. His original charges were possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, stealing-related offense (third offense) and forgery.

A woman who listed a Platte City address has been arrested for attempting to steal a motor vehicle in Trenton.

Check Charge Facing Meadville Man

An area man has posted $800 cash-only bond after being arrested for passing bad checks.
Scott E. Robinson, 36, Meadville, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks. He is accused of writing a check to TNT on Dec. 1, 2014 for $563.85 and to Amoco on Dec. 14, 2014 for $61.92, knowing they would not be paid. Robinson is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 11.

A Trenton woman is facing a new felony charge after attempting to escape from custody last month.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Abby Farris, 29, has been charged with a class D felony of escape or attempted escape from confinement.
