Trenton Woman Held On Bond

A Trenton woman is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested for passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Lyndsay Barron, 21, is being held on $500 cash-only bond after being arrested for writing a check to Amoco on May 1 for $48.66, knowing it would not be paid. She is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 23.

A Trenton woman is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested for violating the terms of her probation.

Two persons have been arrested for failing to appear in court as ordered.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Brittany R. Dowling, 28, Trenton, is being held on $500 cash-only bond after failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of driving while revoked. She is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 23.

Two Post Cash Bond

Two Trenton men have posted cash bond after being arrested for failing to appear or pay on earlier convictions.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon S. Hatfield, 21, and Tyler D. Etter, 20, have each posted $400 cash-only bond. Their original charges were second degree property damage and both men are scheduled to appear in court Dec. 23.

Harrisonville Man Arrested For Meth

A Harrisonville man has been arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Curtis Wheelbarger is accused of possessing methamphetamine, a schedule II controlled substance, on Dec. 8. He is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $15,000 cash-only bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 23.

One Arrested For Checks, One For Violation

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Princeton man who is charged with several counts of passing bad checks, with a Princeton woman accused of violating the terms of her probation.
According to the sheriff’s office, 44-year-old Marvin L. Archer is facing three felony counts of passing bad checks and three misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks. The felony counts, with the checks written to Amoco on a non-existent

Laredo Man Is Arrested

A Laredo man has been arrested for failing to appear in court or pay on two charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph M. Sethman, 18, is being held on bonds totaling $700 cash-only after failing to appear or pay on charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 25.

Trenton Women Post Cash Bond

Two Trenton woman have been released from custody after being arrested for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Ashley N. Yardley, 21, was arrested for failing to appear in court on a charge of not wearing a seat belt. She has posted $50 cash bond.

Suspicious Fires Reported

Two abandoned houses were destroyed by fire on Saturday, with the cause of the blazes called suspicious in nature.
According to Grundy County Sheriff Rodney Herring, no one had lived in either house and neither one had power running to it. Firefighters with the Spickard Fire Protection District and Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District responded to a fire on Route Y, where a house and outbuilding at the Forest
