Man Held On Meth Charge

A Trenton man is being held on cash-only bond after being arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Robert R. Burtch has been charged with the class C felony, accused of possessing methamphetamine in October 2013. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash and he is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 12.

Two Charged In Drug Cases

Two area men have been charged with drug-related offenses, including a Trenton man who has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and a Spickard man charged with possessing drug paraphernalia used with methamphetamine.

Woman Held On Bond After Failing to Appear

A Trenton woman is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Kay Lynn Smith is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond after failing to appear in court on a charge of felony forgery. She was arrested Saturday and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 7.

Area Residents Injured In Weekend Accidents

Several area residents were injured in accidents over the weekend in Grundy, Daviess and Putnam counties.
On Sunday night, the Missouri Highway Patrol investigated a one-vehicle accident west of Spickard in which a Spickard man, Robert Blozvich, 49, was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The patrol said a pickup truck driven by Blozvich was southbound on West 60th Avenue when it went out of control

Four Injured In Area Accident

Four Princeton residents received injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning on Highway 136, nine miles east of Bethany.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that the driver of the vehicle, Ciara Grams, 22, received serious injuries along with a passenger, Jenny Miller, 37. Both women were taken to the Harrison County Community Hospital at Bethany, then later transported by helicopter to Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. Keith
