A Trenton man is being held on $5,000 cash-only bond after allegedly violating the terms of a protection order for an adult.

Charges Are Facing Two

Additional charges have been filed against a Leisure Lake man who was already in custody and child endangerment charges are facing a Spickard woman.

May 19: firefighters conducted a fire inspection at Mark’s Barber Shop and conducted rental inspections at 2210 Bolser St., Trailer 19, 1415 Main St., 1306 East 8th St., 413 E. Ninth St. and 2212 Baltimore St. Firefighters responded to a report of an odor of gas in a home at 3335 Pleasant Plain, which was found to be laundry that had fuel on it.

Two Arrested – One For Checks, One For Stealing

Two area residents are being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested on unrelated charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Cheyenne S. Sharp, 18, Trenton, was arrested for passing bad checks, a class A misdemeanor. She is accused of writing a $41.20 check to Amoco on Jan. 10, knowing it would not be paid. She is being held on $450 cash bond.

GPS Leads Driver Astray

A truck driver depending on his global positioning satellite system ended up in the wrong area Thursday, resulting in damage to his truck and the Orscheln building.
According to Trenton Police Det. Jerry Smith, the mishap occurred when a tractor trailer rig operated by Darius McCollum of Marietta, GA, was attempting to locate Modine Manufacturing to pick up a load of freight. His GPS led him to the shopping center

May 13: officers found a minor to be in possession of alcohol at an east park and investigated 12 nuisance violations in the north part of town, one at a west residence and one at a south residence.
