Ticket Issued In Thursday Mishap

A ticket was issued following an accident Thursday at the intersection of Ninth and Kerfoot streets.
According to Trenton Police Officer Jennifer Plummer’s accident report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Megan M. Lynch of Trenton was westbound on East Ninth Street and her vehicle struck a car driven by Jessica L. Cannon of Trenton, which had slowed to make a left turn into a business lot. There

Two Returned To Grundy County To Face Charges

Two men have been arrested on Grundy County warrants and are being returned to face their charges here after failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, David W. Phillips, 56, whose last known address was Kansas City, is being returned to face a charge of felony passing bad checks. He was arrested in Johnson County, KS and is scheduled to appear in court on June

May 21: officers made an arrest for possession of a controlled substance in the north part of town and investigated reports of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the north part of town. Six reports of property damage at west residences were investigated and officers investigated suspicious activity at a south residence. Police Check Minor Mishap

There was only minimal damage to one vehicle following an accident investigated May 21 by the Trenton Police Department.
According to Trenton Police Det. Jerry Smith’s report, the accident occurred when a car driven by Mason Hooyman of Trenton backed from a parking lot on Grundy Street and into a vehicle owned by Dustin and Adriane Todd, also of Trenton, which was parked and unattended on Grundy Street. Ms. Hooyman

Bond Posted For Failing To Appear

A Milan man has posted bond after being arrested for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Robert A. Brandon, 33, was arrested after failing to appear in court on charges of first degree tampering and second degree property damage, both class B misdemeanors. He has posted $400 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 26.

Two Arrested In Polk County

Two Trenton men have been arrested in Polk County after failing to appear in court in Grundy County.
Happy E. Sharp, 40, failed to appear in court on charges of second degree domestic assault and operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license (third and subsequent offense). He is being held on bonds totaling $16,000 cash-only.
Also arrested was Jarred Kelsall, 20, who failed to appear in court
