Stealing Charges Facing Man

Charges of stealing are facing a Williamsburg man accused of stealing a purse.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Christopher G. Keller, was arrested in Cole County and has been charged with stealing: without consent, a class A misdemeanor. He is accused of appropriating a purse belonging to Stacy Rutledge which had personal belongings in it. He is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $2,500

Charges Are Facing Three

Charges are facing three after two persons failed to appear in court and one person was arrested on several misdemeanor charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Emily C. Hildenbrand, a 20-year-old Trenton resident, was arrested by the Trenton Police Department on Sunday, Jan. 15. She is charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle without a license and possession of liquor

Jamesport Man Arrested

A Jamesport man was arrested Friday for failing to appear in court on three charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Roni L. Bechtel, 45, Jamesport, failed to appear in court on charges of not wearing a seat belt, not maintaining financial responsibility for a vehicle and failing to register a motor vehicle. He has posted cash bonds totaling $350 and is also scheduled to appear in court Jan.

Two Arrested In Buchanan County

Two women were arrested Thursday in Buchanan County on Grundy County warrants charging them with passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Ashley Snidow, 20, Marceline, is charged with two class A misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks. She is accused of writing a check to Hy-Vee on May 31, 2014 for $15.16 and to Amoco on June 5, 2014 for $67.84, knowing they would not be

Cameron Man Out On Bond

A Cameron man has posted bond after turning himself into the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday.
Joel Leposky, 52, is to appear in court on Jan. 24 after posting a $200 cash-only bond. He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree offense.

Three Are Arrested Over Holiday Weekend

Three persons were arrested over the weekend, including one charged with endangering children and two who failed to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Kirk G. Latimer, 45, Spickard, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor. He is accused of creating a substantial risk to the life, body or health of four children, all of whom were under age 17,
