Domestic Assault Is Alleged

A Trenton woman is in the Grundy County Detention Center, charged with second degree domestic assault.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Janaye Trombley was arrested by the Trenton Police Department and is accused of attempting to cause serious physical injury to a male household member by use of a deadly weapon. Two In Custody For Failing To Appear

Two persons are in custody after failing to appear in court on unrelated charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Michelle M. Harding-Poortinga, 31, Trenton, was arrested Monday by the Trenton Police Department for failing to appear in court on charges of passing bad checks. She is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 15.

House Fire On 12th Street

A two-story house on West 12th Street sustained heavy damage to its interior in a fire reported Thursday morning.

Cash Bond Set For Kearney Man

Cash bond has been set for a Kearney man who failed to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Joshua Rosemann is being held on $500 cash-only bond after being arrested for failing to appear in court on a charge of non-support. He is scheduled to appear in court April 22.
