Two Fail To Appear In Court

Two area men were arrested after failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Rex A. Winters, 44, Kansas City, was arrested for failing to appear in court on charges of burglary and theft. Bond was set at $15,000 cash-only and he is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 28. His probation has been suspended.

Man Held On Misdemeanor

A Trenton man is being held on bond after being arrested on a misdemeanor charge of third degree domestic assault.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Dale L. McPherson, 54, was arrested on the charge after allegedly knowingly causing physical contact with a household member. Bond was set at $2,500 cash or corporate surety and he is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 11.

Vehicles Towed After Mishap

Two vehicles were towed from the scene of an accident investigated Friday at the intersection of 11th and Avalon streets.
According to Trenton Police Officer Tyler Anderson’s report, the accident occurred when a car driven by Madison Patterson of Trenton was westbound on 11th Street, attempting to make a left turn onto Avalon Street. Man Held After Failing To Appear

A Chillicothe man has been brought back to Grundy County to face a charge of tampering with a motor vehicle.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Timothy J. Ashlock failed to appear in court on the tampering charge and is being held on $15,000 cash or corporate surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 28.

A Trenton man is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested on a class B felony charge of burglary.
