Woman’s Identity Is Released

The identity of a woman found deceased at a local motel has been released.
According to Trenton Police Chief Tommy Wright, the woman, whose body was found by an employee at Lakeview Motor Lodge on Tuesday morning, has been identified as 40-year-old Jennifer Herren. Sept. 15: a subject was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance in the west part of town.

No Tickets Issued In Minor Mishap

No tickets were issued in an accident investigated Sept. 16 by the Trenton Police Department.
According to Officer Tyler Anderson’s accident report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Thelma Guerrero of Trenton was eastbound on 12th Street between Cedar Street and Chestnut Street. She said the sun obstructed her view and she was unable to clearly see the road. Her car struck the rear of a parked truck

Man Arrested In 2007 Cases

A former Trenton resident who has been in the Texas Department of Corrections is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center, charged in cases from 2007.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Rodney W. Cranor, 46, is charged with felony forgery, felony passing bad checks and misdemeanor passing bad checks. On the class C felony of forgery, Cranor is accused of forging a check to Pamida for $646.34,

Man Fails To Appear In Court

A Trenton man is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after failing to appear in court last week.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Hayden McGill is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond after failing to appear in court on two class C felony counts of second degree burglary. His probation on those charges has been suspended and he is scheduled to appear in court on

One person sustained minor injuries following an accident investigated Sept. 13 by the Trenton Police Department.

Trenton Man Fails To Appear In Court

A Trenton man is being held on cash bond after being arrested for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler C. Ward, 23, is being held on $15,000 cash-only bond after failing to appear in court Thursday on an original charge of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle. Ward is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 13.
