Princeton Woman Charged In Check Case

A Princeton woman is being held on charges of passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Amy Cook, 37, is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center after being arrested on three counts of passing bad checks, all class A misdemeanors. She is accused of writing the following checks in 2014, knowing they would not be paid: on Aug. 11 to Hy-Vee for $94.87; on Aug.

Two Arrested For Probation Violations, One For Passing Bad Checks

Three persons have been arrested, two for violating the terms of their probation and one for passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Christina L. Baker, 34, Trenton, was arrested for passing bad checks, accused of writing a $33.19 check to Amoco on Oct. 11, 2014, knowing it would not be paid. She has posted $400 cash-only bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 10.

Mishap At Ninth & Harris

No one was injured in an accident investigated Thursday at the intersection of Ninth Street and Harris Avenue.
According to Trenton Police Officer Randy Burks’ report, the mishap occurred when a truck driven by Jessica Harkins of Trenton was eastbound on Ninth Street. Hit-And-Run On Sunnyside Drive

The Trenton Police Department investigated a hit-and-run accident on Sunnyside Drive on Wednes-day.
According to Det. Jerry Smith’s report, a tractor-trailer rig owned by Zinser Transport LLC of Mansfield, OH, was parked and unattended on the east shoulder of Sunnyside Drive, facing south. An unknown vehicle sideswiped the passenger side rear of the semi, causing a minor scratch to it. The unknown vehicle then left the scene.

Man Threatens With Shotgun, Others Arrested As Well

A Laredo man is facing felony charges after threatening a household member with a shotgun.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Robert J. Shoemaker, 52, is being held on $40,000 cash-only bond and is charged with domestic assault, a class B felony; endangering the welfare of a child, a class C felony; and unlawful use of weapon, a class B felony.
