Two Scheduled To Appear In Court

Two persons have been arrested, one for violating her probation and one for failing to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Rebecca J. McCree, 30, was arrested for violating her probation on original charges of possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. She is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $15,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled

Probation Violation Results In Arrest

A probation violation has resulted in an Independence man being arrested.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Shawn C. Simon, 26, was arrested for violating the terms of his probation on charges of domestic assault, assault of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. His bond is $400 cash-only and he is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 28.

Mishap Saturday At Eighth and Main

No injuries were reported in an accident investigated Saturday evening at the intersection of Eighth and Main streets.
According to Officer Larry Smith’s report, the accident occurred when a truck driven by Jack Gathercole of Trenton was northbound on Main Street and struck a van driven by Amber L. Police Called To Non-Injury Accident

The Trenton Police Department was called to a non-injury accident Wednesday at the intersection of Main Street and Crowder Road.
According to Lt. Rex Ross’ accident report, the mishap occurred when a car driven by Tracy N. Elder of Trenton was westbound on Crowder Road and stopped at the three-way stop intersection. Ms. Elder proceeded through the stop intersection and collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by Julie A.

Cash-Only Bond Set For Trenton Man

Cash-only bond was set for a Trenton man who failed to obey a judge’s order.
Robert Ray Burtch, 30, Trenton, was arrested Tuesday in court on a charge of failing to obey a judge’s order on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Bond was set at $10,000 cash only for Burtch, who will be back in court on Oct. 28.

Charges of felony child abuse have been filed against a Trenton man.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Larry J. Ingraham, 59, has been charged with abuse of a child, a class C felony, in connection with an incident in which he allegedly knowingly inflicted cruel and inhuman punishment upon a child less than 17 years old by grabbing her neck and biting it, causing bruising.
