Trenton Police Department
Aug. 14: officers provided assistance to other agencies at Wright Memorial Hospital and investigated a nuisance violation at a north residence. Officers made an arrest for stealing at an east business and made an arrest on a warrant in the north part of town. Officers responded to a report of trespassing at an east residence.
Aug. 15: officers made four arrests for possession of a controlled substance

Aug. 7: officers investigated a report of immoral acts with a child at an east residence and investigated a report of child abuse and neglect at an east residence. An arrest was made on a warrant in the downtown area.
Aug. 8: officers recovered stolen property at an east business and made an arrest for stealing at an east business.
Aug. 9: a domestic dispute was reported

Man Charged In Disturbance, Woman Fails To Appear

A Laredo man has been charged in connection with a disturbance, while bond has been set for a woman who failed to appear in court.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s office, 36-year-old Jonathan K. Hanson has been charged with peace disturbance, a class B misdemeanor, in connection with an incident on Aug. 23 in which he allegedly caused alarm to Danny and Carol Holloway. He has posted $1,500 cash

Two Charged With Assault In Weekend Incidents

Three persons were arrested over the weekend, including two men charged with assault and one returned from Texas to face a charge of passing bad checks.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Dakota Troncin of Laredo is being held on $15,000 cash or corporate surety bond after being arrested for second degree domestic assault. He is accused of attempting to cause physical injury Saturday to a female household

Tractor Strikes Propane Tank

A tractor struck a propane tank at People’s Co-op Saturday afternoon, with no evacuation needed to bring the situation under control.
According to Trenton Firefighter Robert Romesburg, a person was fueling a tractor at the station and when the tractor wouldn’t start, it was jump-started. The tractor had been left in gear and when it started, it began moving without a driver. Although the propane tank had guardian pillars around

Parolee Sent Back To Prison

A Trenton man who had been released from prison on parole has been returned to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Harding, 29, had been released on parole but has violated the terms of that release. His original charges were possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana, stealing-related offense (third offense) and forgery.

Four Held On Drug Charges

Four persons are being held on drug charges after warrants were served Saturday at two Trenton locations.
Law enforcement officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Trenton Police Department and Grundy County Sheriff’s Office descended on two apartments, located at 510 Main St. and 1030 Custer St., on Saturday morning. Grundy County Sheriff Rodney Herring said the MSHP and TPD initiated the search of the apartments.
