Commission Looks At Storm Damage

The Grundy County Commission spent time traveling around the county Tuesday in an effort to determine the amount of damage from last week’s heavy rains.
Presiding Commissioner Rick Hull said the commission is estimating about $450,000 in damage throughout the county, including $50,000 estimated for debris removal and $400,000 for roads. In addition, the City of Spickard is estimating about $42,000 in damage on its roads located within the city

County Commission Agenda For 9-16-14

The Grundy County Commission will meet in regular session Tuesday at the courthouse.
Items on the announced agenda include a closed session to discuss real estate at 9 a.m. followed by a meeting with Ambulance Director Steve Tracy at 10 a.m. Commissioners will also be discussing damage from the recent heavy rains.

Commission Discusses Bridges, Roof Project

The Grundy County Commission held a pre-bid conference for replacement of the courthouse roof and heard an update on efforts to replace the Charlie Dye Bridge and the 17th Street Bridge.
