Commission Meeting Tuesday, At MAC On Monday

The Grundy County Commission will hold its regular weekly meeting Tuesday at the courthouse.
Items on the announced agenda include the opening of bids for pipe at 9 a.m., followed by the opening of bids for fuel at 9:30 a.m. The commission is scheduled to meet with Ambulance Supervisor Steve Tracy at 10 a.m.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
James R. Cox, Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $30.50.
Brandy M. Elliott, Trenton, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $155.50.
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $55.50 were Gary D. Ervie, Laclede; and Shirley Hughes, Jamesport.

Six Cast Absentee Ballots On Saturday

Six persons cast absentee ballots for Tuesday’s municipal election at the Grundy County Clerk’s office on Saturday.
A total of 61 absentee ballots have been returned thus far to the county clerk’s office, with 71 having been requested. Persons have until 5 o’clock today to cast their absentee ballots.
Voting on Tuesday takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cities, school districts and nursing home districts will be holding

Commission Plans To Assess Tornado Damage

The Grundy County Commission will be meeting with representatives of two companies Tuesday to discuss damage to the county road and bridge barn.
In addition to Milbourn Enterprises of Gallatin as had been previously announced, the commission will be meeting with a representative of Case Contracting of Chillicothe. The meeting with both contractors is set for 8:30 a.m. and will involve traveling to the building at Tindall to assess damage
