Commission Discusses Low-Water Crossings

The Grundy County Commission met with a representative of the FEMA Tuesday, discussing the funding for repair of low-water crossings.
The crossings in need of repair are located on Opal Lane and Rail Lane. Documents will be sent from FEMA that will indicate the amount of funding they will provide for repair of those crossings from flood damage. However, the county may decide to make additional improvements to the crossings

Commission Makes Addition To Agenda

The Grundy County Commission has made a change in the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting at the courthouse.
The commission is scheduled to meet with a FEMA representative at 9:30 a.m., followed by a meeting with Ambulance Director Steve Tracy at 10:30 a.m. and a meeting with a representative of Howe Company at 11:15 a.m. to discuss the Charlie Dye Bridge replacement project.

Corey W. Leeper, 34, Trenton, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation

Commission Accepts Steel Bid

The Grundy County Commission accepted a bid for steel during a meeting held Tuesday.
Oden Enterprises of Wahoo, NE, submitted the lowest of three bids for the steel. The bid was for $50,295 and was for steel that will be used for county bridge projects.
