Commission Planning To Attend Great Northwest Day

The Grundy County Commission will not hold its regular meeting next week.

Brent M. Mitchell, Princeton, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $30.50.

Ambulance Rates Increase

The Grundy County Commission approved an increase in rates charged for using the county ambulance service during its meeting on Tuesday.
This is the first time rates have been increased since Jan. 2008 and the decision was made after looking at what other area counties are currently charging. Michael E. Oleson, 50, Chillicothe, had his probation set aside on charges of distribution of a controlled substance (2 charges) and distribution of a controlled substance near a school. He was sentenced to serve 15 years in the Department of Corrections on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently. His probation was continued on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Commission Approves 2015 County Budget

It was good news again at the end of 2014 for the Grundy County Commission, which saw a projected deficit budget end with a surplus. The chances of that happening again this year are slim if the figures approved this morning hold true.

Commission Meeting Agenda For 1-27-15

The Grundy County Commission will meet in regular session Tuesday at the courthouse.
Items on the announced agenda include a budget hearing at 9 a.m., followed by the regular weekly meeting with Ambulance Director Steve Tracy at 10 a.m. The commission will meet with Trenton Community Developer Ralph Boots at 11 a.m. to discuss the entrance to the property on which a solar farm will be located.
