Celebrities Fall To Hometown Heroes

R-T Photo/Diane Lowrey For the eighth time in as many years, the Trenton Hometown Heroes were again the winners in the Celebrities vs. Hometown Heroes annual softball game held this past Saturday night at Griffin Field. The Heroes took the first contest in a close matchup (well, as close as it could be), 26-6, while game two was a blowout, 48-8. Among the participants for the Heroes was Loretta Wilson, pictured above, who got a hit in the first inning of game one. Also pictured are Grundy County Sheriff Rodney Herring, who was catcher for the Celebrities, and Matt King, who served as home plate umpire.
