Crowder Park Official Talks With THS Conservation Class

Submitted Photo Anna Persell, the natural resource manager at Crowder State Park, came and talked to the Trenton High School Conservation Class about her job. She explained what she does for Crowder State Park such as hiring, being in charge of the budget and scheduling for the cabins. Along with that she also shared some interesting stories that she experienced while on the job. She let the students know about the process that the staff members have to go through just to get new equipment or repairs. This job that Anna has also requires her to live and be at the park almost all the time. Anna handed out pamphlets, a job vacancy posting paper and also showed a map of Crowder to the class. One more thing that Anna shared were some upcoming events such as the Outdoor Discovery Day and the musical group that is coming, both in September. Anna did an awesome job speaking to our conversation class and it was very appreciated. (Submitted by Lana Raymo)
