Artist Shares Talents At Museum

Photo Courtesy of Phil Schlarb Visitors to the Grundy County Museum on Saturday got the chance to share the painting techniques of Megan Nickell Thomas, who provided a hands-on painting lesson using acrylic paint. Mrs. Thomas, a teacher at the Griffey School of Arts and operator of the Wooden Nickell art studio in St. Joseph, is one of several Grundy County natives having art work on display at the museum as part of its special exhibit, “Grundy County Artists and Their Art.” More than 250 art items will be displayed at the museum throughout the 2016 season. Museum hours are 2 to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
