The funds were raised during a promotion earlier this month where the store sold slabs of ribs and donated $1 from each sale. Funds were also raised by having customers round-up their grocery purchase to the next even dollar amount. The same promotion raised $141.69 from the Bethany Hy-Vee and $104.79 from the Unionville Hy-Vee for the Women’s Shelter. Pictured are, from left, Cathie Smith of the Women’s Shelter; Tim Michael, Trenton Hy-Vee Store Director; Barb Spencer of the Women’s Shelter; and Dave Bain, Trenton Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits Manager and Women’s Shelter board member.
