Since 2003, the college library has annually purchased art from a student which is then framed and hung in the library accompanied by a small plaque with its title, the artist’s name and their graduation date. The NCMC Foundation Board donates the plaque on behalf of NCMC for the project, and the artwork is framed and matted by instructor Jim Norris. Miss Jamvold’s artwork is a pencil drawing entitled “MAC” and was completed in her Drawing I class with Norris. Miss Jamvold is set to graduate from NCMC in Spring 2017 with an associate in arts degree in teaching. She plans to transfer to Northwest Missouri State University after her NCMC degree completion to pursue a degree in art education.
