R-T Photo/Ronda Lickteig “Going Out With a Bang!” is the title of the Laredo R-7 School Spring Music Program, which will be held tonight (Tuesday) in conjunction with the school art show. The title not only refers to the school year ending, but also to the retirement of music instructor Carol Wilford, who will be honored with a reception following the program to recognize her 32 years of working with Laredo students. Student artwork will be on display, with art instructor Trisha Sharp available from 6:30 to 7 p.m. to give details about the projects. The music program will get under way at 7 p.m. Fifth through eighth grade band students will perform, with students in grades preschool through eight performing vocal selections such as “Icky Lollipop”, “William Tell’s Overshirt” and “Pop Bottle Hoedown.”
