R-6 Science Fair Winners In Regional Competition

The top three winners of the Pleasant View R-6 Science Fair competed in the Mid-America Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Monday, March 14 in St. Louis. Warren Meservey, left, received a third-place medal for his experiment testing fertilizer on hydroponics (with emphasis on its application towards agriculture). Sarah Keller, center, received a first-place medal for her experiment testing Sodium Citrate on Absorption (with emphasis on its applications towards clotting blood). Andrew Flentje, right, received a first-place medal for his experiment testing Temperature on Magnets (with emphasis on its applications towards Maglev Technology). Additionally, both Sarah and Andrew received the highest prize a participant can receive at the fair, a nomination to the Broadcom Masters, a national science and engineering competition.
