Bye-Bye To Charlie Dye Bridge

Demolition of the Charlie Dye Bridge got under way on Wednesday to make way for a new structure over the Thompson River. Boone Construction of Columbia is doing the demolition work and hopes to have the new bridge completed and open to the public by late summer or early fall. The bridge has been closed since 2012, when the Missouri Department of Transportation deemed the structure unsafe.
