Skies in Grundy County were perfect for the total lunar eclipse on Sunday night, which spawned a rare “blood moon” as well. A blood moon is the result of a rare combination of an eclipse with the closest full moon of the year. The eclipse lasted around two hours. The combination of the lunar eclipses with the blood moon will not occur again until 2033.
