DAWGS Win Gold Medals

The Trenton DAWGS (Disabled Athletes with Grundy Support) traveled to the Frank White Sports Complex in Lee’s Summit on Saturday to participate in the Special Olympics Regional Softball Tournament. There were over 16 teams in attendance. The DAWGS were able to win their first two games and received Gold Medals. Their next competition is in Jefferson City at the end of September for the Special Olympics State Outdoor Games. If the team is successful in receiving gold at state, they will be undefeated for four consecutive years.
