2015 County Tax Sale

R-T Photo/Ronda Lickteig It was a smaller crowd than usual that turned out for the annual Grundy County Delinquent Tax Sale held on Monday morning, with nine properties being sold and bringing in a total of $3,147. Of those sold, two were first time sales, three were second sales, two were fourth sales and two were fifth sales. Of those sold, four were in Trenton Township, two  were in Madison Township and there was one sale each in Franklin, Liberty and Wilson townships. Grundy County Treasurer/Collector Barb Harris said one property, located on South Main Street in Trenton, sold for $1,200, a first sale that brought the highest bid on Monday. Several properties sold for the minimum, which was $81.95.
