DAWGS Do Well At Tournament

The Trenton DAWGS, Disabled Athletes with Grundy Support, attended the Special Olympics Area Flag Football Tournament in Cameron on Saturday, Aug. 15. Kurtis Brewer led the participants in the Athletes Oath and Pierce Rash passed the torch in the opening ceremonies. The team was successful in their efforts to bring home the gold medals presented to the athletes by Keith Bentz of the Cameron Correctional Center. The team is busy practicing for the area bocce ball tournament next Sunday in Kansas City and the regional softball tournament on Aug. 29 in Kansas City.
