Five Points – Library Project Over Halfway Mark

The Grundy County Genealogy Society, in conjunction with the Grundy County-Jewett Norris Library, is continuing its digitalization project of old newspaper microfilms.
Local newspapers on microfilm at the library date from 1884 and are used extensively in genealogy research. When microfilm technology became available in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the bound paper copies were converted to the more stable microfilm.
