Photo Courtesy of WMH Foundation Director Matt Osterthun The Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced the completion of phase one of the walking trail & memorial garden project. Joe DeVorss Construction made its last pour Tuesday morning that brought the half-mile concrete-based trail full circle. Phase two of the project remains to be completed which includes construction of three sitting areas, installation of lights and landscaping along the trail. “It’s a great day for the employees of Wright Memorial Hospital and the community of Trenton,” said Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation Development Officer Matt Osterthun. “Phase one of the project was quite the journey to complete; now it’s time to beautify the trail and get it ready for a dedication ceremony.”A dedication ceremony date is yet to be determined. The trail is still not ready for public use due to signage warning patrons of the helipad yet to be installed. The Foundation will notify the public when the trail is ready.“Phase two is crucial for the overall aesthetics of the project,” said Osterthun. “Making the trail attractive and more importantly safe are high priorities when providing it for public use.”
