Scrappy Quilters Make Donation To Sonrise Home

R-T Photo/Seth Herrold The Scrappy Quilter’s Quilt Guild has made an $800 donation to the Sonrise Children’s Home at Princeton. The donation represents the proceeds from the recent Round Robin Quilt Fundraiser held by the guild. A Round Robin quilt is one that is constructed by several members of the group, with the first person constructing the center of the quilt, then the next person takes the center and adds to it what they think would add to the quilt character. The quilt passed from quilter to quilter until it was decided that it was large enough to be quilted and bound. Five members of the guild constructed the quilt, which was won by Jackie Carton of Marshall. Those pictured include, from left, Charlotte Jensen, treasurer of the guild; Matt Krohn, Sonrise Home board member; Melissa King, president of the Sonrise Home Board; Crystal Whitaker, president of the guild; and Donna Wilson, vice president of the board.
