Sonrise Center Has Open House

Submitted Photo Sonrise Children's Home held an Annual Open House on Sunday, June 1. During the event tours were given, refreshments served and information was shared about the not-for-profit ministry. The home has served a total of 24 adolescents since reopening in 2011, with eight residing there at present. Pictured are, from left, Leonard and Jane Wilmes; houseparents; Karen Quick, volunteer; Debbie Bennett, board secretary; Melissa King, board president; and Matt Krohn, board member. Quilt raffle tickets were also available, hosted by Crystal Whitaker of the Scrappy Quilters Guild of Trenton, not pictured, with proceeds to go to the Sonrise Home.
