Joplin Honoring Dewey Combs

Former Trenton and Joplin High School football coach Dewey Combs is being honored. The Joplin School Board has voted to name the athletic complex at Junge Field after the former coach. The exact wording of the complex name hasn’t yet been determined, but it will bear Combs’ name.
Combs coached the Trenton Bulldogs from 1959-1966. He led Trenton to two undefeated seasons, going 8-0-1 in 1962 and 10-0 in 1966,
