Students Participate In Egg Program

Submitted Photo Pleasant View R-6 and Laredo R-7 schools participated in an embryology program sponsored by the Grundy County 4-H Council and the University Extension. Fertilized eggs, incubators and educational information were provided to the schools, allowing children to learn various skills, including counting to the lifecycle. Most chicks were hatched during the project. Pleasant View had four classrooms with 69 students who participated in the program while Laredo had six classrooms with 48 youth. Students in Miss Murphy’s class at the R-6 School, pictured, include (in alphabetical order) Tymber Cooksey, Abbye Johnson, Hunter Limkemann, Remi Olmstead, Garrison Otto, Jacole Simpson, Astrid Soriano, Kiefer Tolson, Kara Winsett, Daniel Bright, Evan Bright, Jake Gibson, Trey Guerrero, Jena Harris, Josiah Kasinger, Kyleigh Kelly, Makina Limkemann, Joanna Lin, Mason Meservey and Cristy Stretch.
