Patrick Brian Courtney, 35, Galt, had a four-day jury trial set for Oct. 7 on charges of first degree murder and armed criminal action. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Sept. 18.

Judy M. Castle, 74, 71205 Catalina Dr., pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Dakota A.L. Gray, 20, Hamilton, pleaded guilty to following another vehicle too closely and was fined $77.50 and $68.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Joyce E. Thompson, 46, 1908 Oak St., pleaded guilty to not maintaining financial responsibility for a vehicle and was fined $27.50 and $68.50 costs. She also pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle and was fined $27.50 and $68.50 costs.
The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
Denise Felderman, Trenton, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $80.50.
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $30.50 were Billy Langton, Plattsburg; Shanna Nichols, Trenton; and Aron Vandevender, Trenton.
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $55.50 were Carolyn Martin, Holden; and Steven O’Brien, Pleasant Hill.
Eli Yoder, Spickard, pleaded guilty to pursuing/taking/kil-ling/possessing/disposing of wildlife illegally and was fined $149.50.
Linda D. Cudney vs. Ireland Construction (Cody Ireland). The court entered a judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $5,068. The case involved a dispute over work performed by the defendant.
