The Princeton High School boys basketball team was in semifinal action at the Albany Tournament on Thursday, battling Stanberry with a trip to the tournament title game on the line.

The Tigers fell behind 14-9 in the opening quarter and trailed 30-15 at halftime. There was no coming back for Princeton against a strong Stanberry squad as the Tigers were relegated to the third-place game with a 19-point loss.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Brant Faulkner, who had 12 points, and Steffan Elliot, who had 10. Justin Hamilton scored eight points, Hunter Boxley had four, Jason McLain finished with three and Adam Millburn rounded out the Tigers’ total with one.
The loss was the first of the season for the Tigers, who fell to 2-1 overall. Princeton will play for third place in the Albany Tournament this weekend.
