Trenton High School has named its Students of the Quarter for the first quarter.
Students receive the recognition based on their citizenship, leadership, participation in activities and academic achievement. A student can only earn the award once during their high school career.
The freshman honoree is Ellis Gilham. He is a member of Key Club, Band, Student Council, Science Club and the Scholar Team. In the spring, he plans to be on the track team. Outside of high school, he takes piano lessons. He is the son of Tim and Davina Gilham.
Sadie Roy is sophomore student. She serves as junior secretary in FFA and attended the state FFA vconvention to participate in creed speaking. Outside of THS, she attends Wesley United Methodist Church and Youth Group. She has received her 1st Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and raises and shows cattle for her SAE at county fairs. Sadie is the daughter of Scott and Cindy Roy
The junior student is Adam Kirby. He serves as treasurer of the FFA. Outside of school, he attends Rural Dale Baptist Church and is employed by KTTN radio. He is the owner of Bigger is Better Outfitters, LLC, a local hunting club. He is the son of Glen and Valicia Kirby.
Selected as the senior student was Jacob Marlay. He participates on the football and tennis teams and Scholar Bowl. In addition, he is a member of concert and marching band, FCCLA, FBLA, Key Club and the National Honor Society. Outside of high school, he is a member of Boy Scout Troop 97 and the National Society of High School Scholars. He was also chosen to play with the North Central Missouri Band Masters Association. He is the son of Jamia Marlay.
