The dirt is being moved for the new walking trail to be constructed on the Wright Memorial Hospital campus. Joe DeVorss Construction is doing the dirt and concrete work for the trail, which is being partially funded with a $100,000 federal grant the WMH Foundation has received through the State of Missouri Recreational Trails Program. The grant dollars are administered by the Federal Highway Administration and are managed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Missouri State Parks. The foundation has already raised $140,000 toward the project, which will also include lighting, sitting areas and other aesthetics to be added in the spring of 2014.
