Judge Steven D. Hudson
The following cases were heard by Harrison County Associate Judge Thomas R. Alley in the absence of Judge Hudson.
Gary Reed, 42, Laredo, pleaded not guilty to passing bad checks. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he agreed to pay restitution on the checks and associated fees in the amount of $120.03 and the charges were dismissed.
Megan Eddy, 32, Jamesport, pleaded guilty to passing bad checks and was fined $200, $116.50 costs and $180.50 restitution.
Robert L. Johnstone III, Trenton, had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a charge of first degree statutory sodomy after a preliminary hearing was held and the court found that there was probable cause to believe a crime had been committed and that the defendant had committed it. He is scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 17.
Joshua Rosemann, 22, Kearney, failed to appear in court on a child support and had his bond forfeited to be used for the amount of child support in arrears. In addition, the warrant that was issued on Aug. 14 remains in effect.
Shelly Anderson, 325 N.E. 37th Ave., waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to passing bad checks. She was fined $200 and $116.50 costs.
Jonnie L. Beavers, 28, Mercer, had a charge of not maintaining financial responsibility for a vehicle dismissed.
Lois Crouse, 38, Trenton, appeared in court owing $116.50 costs and a $25 late fee on a charge of passing bad checks. The amount was withheld from her bond, with the balance to be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney’s office to be used toward restitution due by Nov. 28.
Melody A. Nichols, 20, 312 E. Ninth St., pleaded guilty to not maintaining financial responsibility for a vehicle and was fined $27.50 and $58.50 costs. She also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $80.50 were Quinten Adams, Chillicothe; Christa Duryea, Princeton; and Kevin B. Harris, Trenton.
Linda Buckner, Humphreys, pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle and was fined $30.50.
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $55.50 were Megan Bundy, Chillicothe; and Deborah Lestrange, Chillicothe.
Ora Graber, Jamesport, pleaded guilty to failing to display plates on a motor vehicle and was fined $30.50.
Floyd C. Holsted, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to secure a child under the age of eight in a child restraint system or booster seat and was fined $20.50.
Pleading guilty to seat belt violations and fined $10 were Nichole Hyer, Trenton (two violations); and Kaylie Russell, Trenton.
Igor Sher, Fairlawn, OH, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $30.50.
