I Remember Trenton – Flowers and Fair

I spent the summer between my fifth- and sixth-grade year much like I had spent other summer vacations from school – swimming in the Trenton Pool, playing softball, reading books borrowed from the Jewett Norris Library, drinking Cokes at Fair’s Drug Store, buying malted balls at the candy counter at Mattingly’s, riding my bicycle and generally enjoying the slow summer time.
