Council Lifts Container Ban To Allow For Beer Sales At Fair

On two separate votes, the Trenton City Council on Monday night voted to suspend its open container law to allow beer sales at the grandstand area during the North Central Missouri Fair.

Representatives of the NCM Fair Board made the request in what Board President Rick Hull called an effort to increase revenues for improvements and continued operation of the fair. Hull estimated an additional 15 to 20 percent in revenues
