Stallings Named Grundy County Prosecutor

Gov. Jay Nixon has appointed R. Cristine Stallings of Bethany to serve as the new prosecuting attorney for Grundy County. The position became vacant upon the resignation of the former elected prosecutor, Carol Wetherell, and the position has been filled by a special prosecutor, Adam Warren of Chillicothe, since April 29.

Stallings, a Democrat, has been in private practice in Bethany since 1992 and has been the Bethany city attorney
