Mercer Fades Away, Will Play For Third

The Mercer Lady Cardinals’ dreams of a state title went up in smoke on Thursday night at the Hearnes Center in Columbia. Mercer led early, but Chamois outscored the Lady Cardinals 32-9 over a stretch from late in the second quarter to the end of the game to take a 62-39 win, relegating Mercer to tonight’s third-place game.
