Council OKs Employee Insurance Bid

The Trenton City Council approved a new health insurance carrier and announced a purchase option on land north of the Emergency Services Complex during a meeting on Monday night at city hall.

On a 7-0 vote, the council agreed to have Blue Cross/Blue Shield provided the city health insurance coverage for next year, a move that will save the city around $100,000 over the price offered by the city’s current carrier,
