City Puts Local Use Tax On Ballot

The city of Trenton will have a use tax proposal on the April ballot following action taken on Monday night by the city council.

Council members agreed to place the measure before voters on April 2, allowing them to decide whether or not the city should resume collecting the tax which, until a Missouri Supreme Court decision last year, had been collected on items purchased out of state. The Grundy
