Hay Bales Catch Fire South Of Spickard

A fire Tuesday afternoon burned around 15 acres of land just south of Spickard.

A spokesman for the Spickard Rural Fire Protection District, J.R. Roberts, said a semi-truck load of hay being transported on Highway 65 caught fire, then blew from the truck and spread the blaze on land along the highway.
