Spickard Board Reviews Budget Concerns

The Spickard R-2 Board of Education discussed the budget and heard reports during a meeting on Monday night.

According to Administrator Mike Garrett, the board discussed possible cuts for an estimated $30,000 shortfall in the current budget. Several items were addressed, but no action was taken. Items of interest included groundskeeping, transportation, food services, building updates and heating/cooling. The issue will be discussed again at next month’s meeting.
