Grundy County Gets Good Financial Audit Report

The Grundy County Commission received a very good report on the 2010 financial audit during its meeting Tuesday.

The in-depth audit, conducted by Kevin Hudson, CPA, focused on the 2010 finances of the county, whereas state audits put additional focus on procedures and handling of finances. Hudson told the commission that the county ended 2010 with a balance of $2,266,759, up from $2,082,866 in 2009. In 2010, revenues were $4,274,169,
