Rotary Hears About Christmas Traditions

Christmas traditions were discussed during a program at Thursday’s Trenton Rotary Club meeting. Jerri Manuel was the program chairman.

Elizabeth Gibson presented the program, starting with why Dec. 25 is celebrated as the date Jesus was born. The first actual known celebration of that date was on 336 AD with that date being declared officially by Pope Julius. She said that while no actual date is stated in the Bible,
