Laredo Council Hires Maintenance Man, Removes Councilmember

The Laredo City Council hired a new maintenance employee and voted to remove a councilmember during its meeting held Tuesday evening.

According to City Clerk Amy Bowe, the council voted to hire John Limkemann to fill the part-time position. Limkemann began his duties on Wednesday. Several ordinances were approved that affect the position, including one that revised the salary. Under the new ordinance, the maintenance person will be paid $9.50
