Four Departments Fight Blaze For 12 Hours

Firefighters from four rural departments fought a 12-hour blaze near Laredo on Tuesday and this morning.

According to the Laredo Rural Fire Department, the call came in at about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, with the fire located on land owned by Paul Duffner. The switchgrass on the land, used this time of year for hunting, began burning quickly and went down a fence row between Duffner’s land and land owned by
