Firefighters with the Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District were called to Tindall Sunday afternoon, where a garage was on fire.

According to a GCRFPD report, the blaze was in a garage at 409 Shanklin Ave., in Tindall, owned by Harry Kately. He said the carburator on a 1959 Chevrolet convertible backfired, starting the fire. That car sustained extensive damage, with another car, a 1959 Chevrolet hardtop, sustaining only minor damage.
