City Council To Consider Deficit Budget

The Administrative and Finance committees of the Trenton City Council met on Monday concerning the proposed 2011-2012 city budget and the expansion of the city’s animal ordinance.

At the Finance Committee meeting, members voted to recommend a budget to the city council that shows a deficit, resulting in the city dipping into its reserves.
City Administrator Kerry Sampson said the city anticipates revenues of around $2,626,641 and expenditures of $2,947,555
