Fourth Quarter Run Lifts Mercer Boys

The Mercer Cardinals punched their ticket to the Meadville Tournament consolation game Wednesday night with a 62-34 win over Grundy R-5.

Mercer jumped out to a 15-8 first-quarter lead and held a 30-18 advantage heading into the locker room at halftime. Grundy battled back in the third quarter with an 11-5 run, however, Mercer slammed the door shut on any potential rally in the final frame, racking up 27 points
