Grundy R-5 Approves 2010-2011 Budget

The Grundy R-5 School District will be operating on a projected deficit budget this year, thanks to decreases in state funding and increases in the cost to operate the school.

Superintendent Rob Deaver said the board approved a budget during a Monday evening meeting that shows anticipated revenues of $2,198,380 and expected expenditures of $2,270,438 for a deficit of $72,058. Deaver said the budget reflects an estimated 6 percent decrease
